SAN ANTONIO — Tejano music star Ram Herrera is revealing to fans that he is battling cancer.
In a video he posted on his fans’ Facebook page, he says he has Stage 4 prostate cancer.
Herrera says that he will not need chemotherapy to treat, but will instead be taking medication followed my radiation.
Herrera assures fans that while he may be weakened, he will not stop fighting.
“Thank you all for your prayers, love, and support,” said Ram Herrera. “With God’s strength and in the name of Jesse, I will beat this cancer. My prayers are with you too—may God heal us all from whatever battles we face. I love you all.”
The Tejano star also urged everyone who can be checked for cancer to not wait and get it done.
