CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Tejano and country singer Johnny Rodriguez passed away Friday night. The late singer was from Sabinal, Texas.
According to a Facebook post made by his daughter, Aubry Rodriguez said the country star passed peacefully surrounded by family.
“Dad was not only a legendary musician whose artistry touched millions around the world, but also a deeply loved husband, father, uncle, and brother whose warmth, humor and compassion shaped the lives of all who knew him,” she said.
Rodriguez famously known for “Ridin’ My thumb to Mexico” was prevously on Domingo Live.
