Spurs say blood donors will receive a free Spurs T-shirt.
SAN ANTONIO — The NBA has announced that the Jan. 4 San Antonio Spurs-Denver Nuggets game has a television change.
NBA TV will no longer broadcast the Denver versus San Antonio game. Instead, it will be televised on FanDuel Southwest.
Denver and San Antonio have yet to meet this season, and most will be watching the matchup between Victor Wembanyama and Nikola Jokic when the teams eventually meet.
Wembanyama has averaged 24.0 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 4.5 blocks in four games against the Nuggets.
SS&E HOSTING TWO BLOOD DRIVES
Spurs Sports & Entertainment has announced that it is partnering with South Texas Blood & Tissue to collect lifesaving blood donations on Thursday, Dec. 26, and Thursday, Jan. 2. SS&E will host the blood drives at the team’s former practice facility, 1 Spurs Lane, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Blood donors will receive a free Spurs T-shirt, which will also be available at all STB&T blood drives in January 2025.
Donors will have a unique opportunity to experience the nostalgia of the Spurs’ former practice facility, one of the team’s basketball operations from 2002 until 2023. Spurs Coyote and Hype Squad will also make special appearances at the Dec. 26 drive.
Donations are especially appreciated this time of year, with donations declining during the holidays. Appointments can be made by visiting SouthTexasBlood.org/Spurs or calling 210-731-5590.
