Tenant shot and killed by landlord, police say

Police say a dispute of some type led to the 37-year-old landlord shooting the 40-year-old tenant.

SAN ANTONIO — A tenant was fatally shot by a landlord northwest of downtown Thursday morning.

San Antonio Police officers responded to the 1000 block of West Huisache Avenue around 8:30 a.m. for reports of a shooting in progress.

Police say that some sort of dispute between the two led to the landlord shooting the tenant. Officials say that he died on the way to the hospital.

Police did not say whether the shooting was in self defense. There are no charges filed at this time.

The shooting remains under investigation.
