Texans top Patriots 41-21 behind Stroud’s 3 TD passes, big days from Mixon and Pierce

Houston was without Nico Collins, but plenty of other stars had big days to lift Houston to the road win Sunday.

HOUSTON — The Houston Texans topped the New England Patriots, 41-21,  Sunday in Foxborough.

Houston scored on its first two drives of the game with scoring strikes from CJ Stroud to Joe Mixon and Tank Dell, but missed out on more scoring opportunities when kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn missed a field goal and a ball bounced off Dalton Schultz in the end zone that was picked off.

Houston picked it back up in the second half and ran away with the road win to improve to 5-1 on the season.  For Houston, it’s the team’s first-ever win in New England.
