Texas 10 Most Wanted fugitive arrested in Converse

56-year-old David Earl Rogers had been wanted out of Bexar County since December 2024 for several charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

CONVERSE, Texas — A Texas 10 Most Wanted fugitive has been arrested in Converse, according to Texas DPS.

56-year-old David Earl Rogers had been wanted out of Bexar County since December 2024 for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, assault of a family/household member by impeding breath and interference with emergency assistance.

Rogers was arrested on April 28 at a Converse residence, according to Texas DPS. After investigation, members of the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, which includes the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, were able to locate him at the residence.

Rogers has a lengthy criminal history in Bexar County including arrests for assault, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, terroristic threat, unauthorized use of a vehicle and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

Texas DPS says Rogers’ arrest was not through any tips, so nobody will be paid the $3,000 reward that was offered when he was added to the list less than a month ago.
