SAN ANTONIO — The Texas Department of Public Safety announced the arrest of Herbert Lee Souvenir, a fugitive on the state’s “10 Most Wanted” list, earlier this month in San Antonio.
On Friday, April 17, Souvenir, 47, was taken into custody at a residence on the city’s south side. His arrest followed information provided through a tip, according to DPS.
Court records show Souvenir was convicted in 1998 of aggravated sexual assault of a child involving an 8-year-old and sentenced to 12 years in prison. In March 2022, he was convicted of assault causing bodily injury to a family member. Later that year, he was convicted of burglary of a habitation and placed on eight years of probation.
Authorities said Souvenir had been wanted out of Guadalupe County since January 2026 on a charge of sexual assault — enhanced (habitual).
So far in 2026, DPS and partner agencies have arrested 27 individuals from those lists, including 20 sex offenders and three gang members. Authorities said $45,500 in rewards has been paid for tips that led to those arrests, including this one.
