Texas Cavaliers kick off 2025 Fiesta festivities by revealing theme, medal and grand marshal

Last year, the parade was a sold out event that allowed the organization to donate more than $2.5 million to local children’s charities.

SAN ANTONIO — On Tuesday, the Texas Cavaliers took to the Riverwalk in Downtown San Antonio to announce the theme, medal and grand marshal for their 2025 Fiesta event.

Every year, the Texas Cavaliers River Parade kicks off on the first Monday of Fiesta. Around 18,000 tickets are sold out fast, and the proceeds directly benefit thousands of children across San Antonio. The foundation, to date, has raised more than 17.5 million for more than 100 local children’s charities, $2.5 million coming from last year alone.

The theme of this year’s parade will be called “Shine Bright” and this year’s medal has a sun and moon with the Texas Cavaliers logo.

Rosemary Kowalski, founder of the hospitality and culinary service RK Group, was announced as the 2025 Grand Marshal as she has run a successful business for more than 70 years. Kowalski also celebrated her 100th birthday back in September.

The 80th Texas Cavaliers river parade is scheduled for Monday, April 28, 2025 and medals will be released on the Texas Cavaliers website soon!

Tickets are currently on sale for legacy ticket holders, but sales will open to the general public on Jan. 1, 2025.
