ARLINGTON, Texas β€” North Texas country singer Pat Green played a livestreamed concert at Globe Life Field Wednesday in partnership with the Texas Rangers and REV Entertainment to aid those impacted by the deadly floods in the Texas Hill Country.

Green, who lives in Fort Worth, was personally affected by the tragedy that killed more than 130 people. His brother, his brother’s wife and two of their children were among those lost in the devastating floods, according to an Instagram post from his wife, Kori Green.

On Monday, officials said 101 people were still missing.

The country singer said in a Facebook post that he hoped to lift people up with the live-streamed event as the community continues to search and pick up the pieces. As of 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, the benefit concert raised $1 million.

“No audience, just music and a mission: to help families devastated by the Texas floods – including my own,” Green said in the post about the concert.

Before the concert began, Green shared how his family is coping with their loss.

“When you think about all the people out there still wondering what’s happening… I think about that,” he said. “That’s why we’re here. It’s not one person, it’s everybody.”

The concert featured not only Pat Green but also a star-studded lineup of artists.

Scheduled performers included:

“We need to care for more than just ours; we need to take care of others, too,” Green said. “Texas stands up for Texas… we all look out for each other.”

Green sent a heartfelt thank you to the search and rescue crews who assisted his family through the tragedy.

“I have nothing but gratitude for those people and how much they did for my family,” Green said. “It’s a dang lot… all I can say is if you ever met John or Julia, you were probably in a great spot. I wanna celebrate their memory, not lament.”

According to a news release from the Texas Rangers, all proceeds from the concert and livestream will go to Kerr County Relief, TEXSAR and the Do It For Durrett Foundation through The Pat Green Foundation. The funds will directly benefit those affected by the recent floods.
