SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Police Department says they have arrested a man after he led officers on a pursuit across the city.
Around 12:30 p.m., a Texas Department of Public safety trooper attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a white Dodge Charger near Wurzbach and O’Connor Road.
The driver of the vehicle was later identified as a 23-year-old male and SAPD said he evaded the trooper through various parts of San Antonio before stopping near Dalewood Place and Wyndale and fleeing from the car.
The suspect was quickly caught and arrested by troopers with the assistance of SAPD and surrounding agencies.
DPS says one trooper was injured during the chase but reportedly did not sustain serious injuries.
One person was hospitalized but officials did not confirm if it was the trooper or suspect who was transported.
The vehicle the suspect was not reported stolen, but the engine authorities found inside of it was.
SAPD said the suspect had an active outstanding warrant from Comal County.
This is an ongoing investigation.
