Texas Lottery scratch-off nets Central Texas winner $1 million

We would usually be exaggerating when we say, “another day, another scratch-off winner,” but in this case it very well may be true. Just a day after two people became millionaires off a Texas Lottery scratch-off ticket, a Cedar Creek resident joined them Wednesday by winning the top prize off a scratch-off game called $1,000,000 Winnings, according to a news release.

The prize is only in the name of the game, and this person, who chose to remain anonymous, won $1 million off the $20 scratch-off. The Cedar Creek resident bought the ticket from the E-Z Food Store located at 719 W William Cannon Drive, Austin, Texas 78745. The winner claimed one of four $1 million prizes.

The odds for winning any prize on $1,000,000 Winnings are one in 3.40, but the odds for an instant top-prize win is one in 2.25 million, according to the Texas Lottery website
