Texas man wanted by Guadalupe County authorities for assault with deadly weapon, family violence

Guadalupe County authorities seek public help to locate a man wanted on aggravated assault and family violence charges.

GUADALUPE COUNTY, Texas — The Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a wanted fugitive.

Albert Joe Cardenas is allegedly wanted on the following charges:

  • Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon
  • Family violence assault with prior convictions

If anyone has information in regards to Cardenas’ whereabout, officials urge them to call the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office at 830-379-1224.

People are also able to submit annonymos tips through the Crime Stoppers website or by calling 1-877-403-8477 (TIPS).

“Strong enforcement starts with tough laws and zero tolerance for criminals—but it succeeds only through partnership. Our deputies will relentlessly pursue fugitives, and we need our community’s eyes and tips to bring them to justice. Together, we’ll keep Guadalupe County safe,” said Sheriff Joshua Ray.
