SAN ANTONIO — The U.S. Marshals are searching for a wanted man who was supposed to complete his federal sentence in San Antonio before he escaped.
Malachi Christopher Farias was convicted of conspiracy to transport illegal aliens back in 2024 and was sentenced to 30 months in prison, followed by three-years of supervised release.
Farias was set to complete his federal sentence at a residential reentry center San Antonio, but now he is on the run.
On Jan. 15, Farias allegedly failed to report to several headcounts before being declared an escapee. Reports state he had a visitor the day of his disappearance and was last accounted for around 6:25 p.m.
Farias is 5-foot-5, weighs approximately 150 pounds, has black hair, brown eyes and several scars on the back of his head.
He has several distinctive tattoos, including the letters “R.E.A.L.,” dice with skulls, playing cards, the name “Crystal” and images of a man and woman on his right arm.
Officials say his last known residence was on the northcentral side of San Antonio.
If anyone has information that may lead to Farias’ arrest, they are urged to contact the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force at 210-657-8500.
