It happened outside Tulia, Texas, on Tuesday.
TULIA, Texas — It was a heart-stopping moment on a Texas highway caught on camera. A portion of an overpass along Interstate 27 near Tulia, Texas, collapsed.
If you’re not familiar, that’s in the Texas Panhandle.
The video above was recorded Tuesday as the driver approached the Farm to Market Road 928 overpass.
According to Sgt. Adrian Briseno with Texas Department of Public Safety, a tractor-trailer hauling a crane had struck the overpass earlier in the day, damaging it. The truck driver sustained only minor injuries.
The overpass is now closed, with no timeline for reopening, DPS said.
Thankfully, no other injuries were reported.
