Texas Parks and Wildlife just stocked Guadalupe River with 1,200 rainbow trout

This was the first of two releases scheduled at Louise Hays Park.

KERRVILLE, Texas — Who’s ready to go fishing? The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s A.E. Wood Fish Hatchery in San Marcos, Texas just released around 1,200 rainbow trout into the Guadalupe River at Louise Hays Park Tuesday morning.

Anglers over the age of 17 are required by law to have a valid freshwater fishing license and there is no minimum length limit, according to state regulations. The daily bag limit is five trout.
