The mission of the Paralyzed Veterans of America Texas Chapter is to support veterans with spinal cord injuries and diseases, and others with disabilities.
San Antonio, TX —The Paralyzed Veterans of America Texas Chapter (Texas PVA) welcomed over 40 veterans and supporters on Saturday to the 17th Annual Kill’n Clays Shooting Sports Charity Tournament, held at the National Shooting Complex on Roft Road in San Antonio.
The highly anticipated event brought together veterans, families, community members, and adaptive sports enthusiasts for a day of camaraderie, competition, and giving back.
Funds raised will go directly toward Texas PVA’s mission of supporting veterans with spinal cord injuries and diseases, as well as individuals with disabilities, through a wide range of life-enhancing programs.

Texas PVA is dedicated to improving the quality of life for its members by addressing accessibility issues, advocating for civil rights, assisting with VA benefits, and providing support for transportation and healthcare. The non-profit organization also plays a vital role in helping veterans reintegrate into society and lead fulfilling, independent lives.
One of Texas PVA’s core initiatives is promoting physical and mental well-being through adaptive sports. Members are empowered to participate in activities like wheelchair basketball, rugby, archery, sit-skiing, track and field, and more.
Events like Kill’n Clays help fund the adaptive equipment, training camps, and travel needed to keep these programs thriving.

The Texas PVA chapter has a strong track record of fostering elite athletes, with three current Paralympians who began their journey at events just like Kill’n Clays. The organization continues to be a launching pad for veterans who want to compete on the national and international stage.
According to the organization’s website, every dollar raised “helps veterans regain what they fought for: freedom, purpose, and independence.”
Membership to Texas PVA is free and open to qualified individuals.
