Texas resident wins $1 million off Texas Lottery scratch-off

Some lucky resident in East Texas is now a million dollars richer after playing a Texas Lottery scratch-off ticket bought at a local corner store. The Tatum, Texas resident won $1 million Tuesday off the Texas Lottery’s scratch-off game called Millions Club, making the anonymous winner part of the club.

The resident bought the ticket from the Eagle Mart located at 240 Johnson St., Tatum, TX 75691, according to a news release. The person is the first to win one of 10 top $1 million prizes in the Millions Club game. The chances of winning any prize in the Millions Club game is one in 3.36, according to the Texas Lottery website. The ticket cost $50.

It appears East Texas residents have had some luck winning $1 million off scratch-off tickets. In early January, two people in Houston and one in Kingwood Area won $1 million each off the scratchers. Then an Austin resident won $1 million off another scratch-off ticket. The biggest scratch-off winner was in Conroe, where they won $3 million from a 500X Loteria Spectacular scratch-off game.
