BELLMEAD, Texas — After two years, a Central Texas family has been reunited with their dog.
The Bellmead Police Department shared that the heartwarming reunion was made possible by Animal Control and microchip technology.
According to Bellmead PD, Sammy had been missing from his family for over two years. Thanks to his microchip, Animal Control was reportedly able to locate his family and reunite him with his loved ones.
Bellmead PD said the reunion is a “powerful reminder” of the importance of microchipping pets.
“A simple chip can make all the difference in bringing them home,” the department said in a post on social media.
