“The future is looking good” | DeMarvion Overshown gives update on his knee injury recovery

Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown is optimistic about his recovery and aims for the NFL’s comeback player of the year award.

DALLAS — Arp native and Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown took to the television show Good Morning Football Friday where he gave an update on his recovery.

“The future is looking good,” Overshown said. “I’m 100 percent positive my sights are set high.”

Overshown was one of the Cowboys most productive defensive assets in 2024, before a knee injury derailed his season. He tore his MCL, PCL and ACL in week 14 against the Bengals. Overshown underwent surgery in December to repair the injury.

“Not only do i want to be nominated for comeback player of the year, I’m going to be comeback player of the year,” Overshown said. “There’s not going to be a drop off you’re going to see me exactly how you see on that clip doing those same things.”

Overshown credited his family and God as his main motivations through his recovery.

“They keep me going, as soon as I come home tired I see my boy and I’m full again, they keep me going,” Overshown said.
