‘The happiest little guy around:’ San Antonio 3-year-old competes for ‘Toddler of the Year’ award

SAN ANTONIO — A San Antonio toddler is ready to prove he’s the best, and cutest, toddler in the country.

“Toddler of the Year” is a fundraising competition for Toys for Tots, hosted by Colossal Impact. Toddlers aged 2-3 compete for various prizes while also raising money. “The winner gets a $25,000 prize, a national ad campaign feature, a lead role in the Hollywood Christmas Parade and a trip to a Peppa Pig theme park.”

In the running is 3-year-old James Javier. He is “the happiest little guy around,” according to his bio. He’s always smiling and ready for the day. He’s charismatic, silly and “the sweetest three-year-old you’ve ever met.” He will be starting Pre-K this fall at Pre-K for SA.

James is very artistic side and will dive into any craft he can get his hands on. He also enjoys gardening with his dad, cuddling and reading books with his mom. He also loves playing with his older sister and little brother.

The $25,000 prize would help their family build a stronger financial foundation for their children’s future.

“We encourage them to dream big, and having these funds set aside would allow us to save for their higher education, whether they choose college, trade school, or another path,” his family says. “It would ease the financial burden that often comes with these opportunities and give our children security, knowing we believe in their dreams and are preparing for their future.”
