The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo is back! Who’s performing on the first day?

The music lineup is as deep as ever as the rodeo celebrates 77 years in the Alamo City.

SAN ANTONIO — The return of the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo brings another deep musical lineup, with musicians performing every single day at one of the biggest events of the year in the Alamo City.

And also, for these few weeks, one of the best places in town to be if you’ve got your dancing shoes on.

For Thursday, Feb. 12, patrons who buy tickets to the 7 p.m. rodeo at Frost Bank Center will have the opportunity to catch Russell Dickerson. The Tennessee native kicks off rodeo headliner action just a few months removed from the release of his fourth studio album “Famous Back Home.” His hit single “Happen to Me” became his fifth song to reach the top of the U.S. Country charts.

As with all rodeo concerts, Dickerson is expected to start playing about 15 minutes after the end of PRCA rodeo competition, which lasts about two hours. The concert will run between 60 and 75 minutes, and tickets are available here
