The String Queens bring soulful, genre-hopping music journey to The Carver Community Cultural Center Friday

The String Queens will take the stage on Feb. 20 for an inspiring night of music that blends classical, jazz, pop, and everything in between.

SAN ANTONIO — If you’re looking for a Friday night plan that feels equal parts classy, soulful, and downright fun, The Carver has you covered.

The acclaimed trio The String Queens is bringing their signature sound to the Jo Long Theatre at the Carver Community Cultural Center on Friday, Feb. 20, promising a musical experience that’s anything but ordinary.

Described as diverse, imaginative, and distinctive, the Washington, D.C.-based group has spent the last decade captivating audiences across the country, from Carnegie Hall to the Kennedy Center, with performances that glide effortlessly through genres and generations.

Their repertoire spans from the Baroque era to today’s biggest hits, meaning you might hear a little Beethoven… followed by Harry Styles.

“It’s freeing, it’s soulful, it’s unashamed and unapologetic,” violinist Kendall Isadore said in a recent interview. “It’s the power of three.”

The String Queens’ mission is simple: inspire audiences to love, hope, feel, and imagine, all through joyful, powerful arrangements of classics by artists like The Beatles, Michael Jackson, and Aretha Franklin.

The concert begins at 8 p.m., with tickets priced at $35, available through Ticketmaster or the Carver box office.

And with The Carver’s legendary history of hosting icons like Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, and Etta James, this is one more unforgettable night added to San Antonio’s rich musical timeline.
