HOUSTON — The American League Championship Series continues on Monday, as the Houston Astros host the Texas Rangers, and there will be plenty of action even before the two teams take the field.
For game 2, country music star Clay Walker will sing the national anthem, former Astros catcher Jason Castro will throw out the ceremonial first pitch and Houston Texans rookie sensations CJ Stroud and Will Anderson will give the ‘Play Ball’ call. The first pitch of game 2 is scheduled for 3:37 p.m. Gates and Street Fest open at 12:30 p.m. No word yet from the league or the Astros on the status of the roof for game 2.
Editor’s note: The video above is from after the Astros eliminated the Twins to return to the ALCS for the seventh straight season.
Fans are being asked to wear orange and all fans will get an Astros rally town to cheer on the home team.
After games 1 and 2, the series moves to Arlington for games 3, 4 and — if necessary — game 5. It would come back to Minute Maid Park for games 6 and 7 if necessary | See full schedule
