SAN ANTONIO — Schools out for the summer and the weekend festivities are already in full gear.
From a weekly cultural dance showcase on the River Walk, to monthly outdoor family fun, to a rock ‘n’ roll farewell tour you won’t want to miss — there’s something for San Antonians of all ages to enjoy this weekend.
Here’s what’s happening across the Alamo City.
Fiesta Noche del Rio
A River Walk summer tradition returns on Friday for a celebration of San Antonio’s rich cultural heritage.
Fiesta Noche Del Rio will heat up the stage at Arneson River Theatre every Friday and Saturday night through the summer with a 90-minute showcase featuring live mariachi, flamenco, salsa, folklorico and more.
Proceeds benefit local children’s charities through Alamo Kiwanis Club. Get your tickets online here or at the door on the day of the show.

Party on the Tower Plaza
Head to the base of the tower every first Friday for Party on the Tower Plaza, a free and fun-filled evening featuring live music and activities for the whole family.
The lineup of musical performers range across a variety of genres including 70s/80s/90s, country, Tejano, Latin/pop/R&B and classic rock.
There will also be lawn games, a moon bounce, caricature drawings, bull riding and more.
When: Every first Friday from June 6 through October 3 from 7 p.m. – 11 p.m.

First Friday Art Market
The first Friday fun continues over at Blue Star with a pop-up art market.
The free event features a guest DJ, a community mural painting, food and drink specials and artworks by talented local creatives.
When: Every first Friday from June 6 through December 5 from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.

San Antonio FC
Soccer fans are invited to cheer on San Antonio FC as they host Las Vegas Lights FC at Toyota Field on Saturday.
The theme for this weekend’s game is “United by the Pitch,” a celebration of community, heritage and the power of soccer to unite.
When: Saturday, June 7 at 8 p.m.

Righteous Brothers
Journey back in time through decades of timeless hits that defined a generation as the Righteous Brothers bring their Lovin’ Feelin’ Farewell Tour to the Tobin Center on Sunday.
The musical duo formed in 1962 is comprised of original member Bill Medley and Bucky Heard, who replaced the late Bobby Hatfield. The Rock & Roll Hall of Famers have been entertaining audiences for over 60 years with hits including “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin,” “Unchained Melody” and “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life.”
When: Sunday, June 8 at 7 p.m.

On Saturday, the San Antonio Museum of Art celebrates Pride Month with guided tours spotlighting the contributions of LGBTQ+ artists and celebrating inclusivity. Spots are available on a first-come first-served basis and are limited to 25 participants per tour. Tickets are free with museum admission.
Another first Saturday marks another day of free outdoor activities at Mission Marquee Plaza. Bring the family and pets out to start your morning with a yoga or Zumba fitness class followed by a farmers and artisans market. Then, return when the sun goes down for a screening of Inside Out 2.
