BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — A Helotes family is heartbroken and pleading for answers after the tragic death of their 17-year-old daughter, Alianna Ujueta, who authorities say was shot and run over early Sunday morning after attending a house party in far southwest Bexar County.
According to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a disturbance around 2:30 a.m. in the 13,000 block of Lucky Road. Investigators said the party was held at an abandoned home, and a fight broke out during the party.
“At some point during that party, a fight broke out inside the residence, which then led out onto the street,” Deputy Johnny Garcia, Public Information Officer said. “During that secondary fight on the street, shots were fired.”
When deputies arrived, they found Ujueta’s body in the street. She had been shot and may have also been run over by a vehicle, Garcia said.
Ujueta’s parents, Ivan and Terri Ujueta, said their daughter had gone to the party with friends. They were notified of the incident when a friend used Alianna’s phone to call them. They rushed to the scene and waited for hours before being told the devastating news.
“We were praying that it wasn’t our girl,” Ivan Ujueta said. “Our day became dark. And there was no light at the end.”
The family described Alianna as vibrant, funny, sassy and full of life.
“She didn’t go anywhere without making a friend,” her mother said.
Now, the Ujuetas are calling on anyone with information to come forward as they search for justice in their daughter’s death.
“This has broken us. This has torn us apart,” Ivan Ujueta said. “Please come forward. We need to have justice for her. She deserves it.” Terri Ujueta said.
The sheriff’s office is searching for a suspect who was last seen leaving the scene in a dark-colored truck. Investigators are asking anyone who attended the party and has photos, videos, or information to share them directly with detectives.
A QR code has been created to allow the public to upload media related to the case.

“I can’t believe somebody can live after taking the life of an innocent child like this,” Ivan Ujueta said. “My prayer is you come forward and surrender yourself.”
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.
