Thousands of customers without power in New Braunfels

New Braunfels Utilities is reporting about 3,000 customers are experiencing a power outage Thursday morning.

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas — As the cold temperatures and high winds continue in South Texas and the Hill Country, thousands of customers are without power in the New Braunfels area. 

New Braunfels Utilities is reporting about 3,000 customers are experiencing a power outage Thursday morning. 

The utility released the following statement regarding the outages:

“We are aware of the outages and our crews are actively on-site, working diligently to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.”

The utility also encouraged people to check follow the company’s outage tracker. That tracker can be found here.

An Extreme Cold Warning remains in effect until noon Thursday for Comal County and other parts of South and Central Texas. Follow latest forecast updates here.
