Three arrested after stolen government vehicle was found, police say

Police arrested three people in a stolen government vehicle on San Antonio’s west side.

SAN ANTONIO — Three people were arrested after being found in a stolen government vehicle on the west side of San Antonio, police said.

The incident was initially reported as a disturbance involving a gun when police got a report of a teen waving a gun around. Officers were called to the 200 block of Cliffwood Drive just after 9:50 a.m. on Thursday.

Police say one of the suspects was detained when officers arrived at the scene. The other two suspects were taken into custody after exiting a home they had entered upon police arrival. Police say the stolen car had government plates, but it is not clear from which agency they are from.

According to police, at least one of the suspects is a juvenile, while the other two are considered young adults. There is no word yet on what charges they may face.

Police also said one of the suspects may be tied to a murder case, but it is too early in the investigation to confirm anything.

This is a developing story. Further details will be provided as they become available.
