Three men facing murder charges in Carrizo Springs

The Dimmit County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting multiple gunshots and found a man with multiple gunshot wounds.

CARRIZO SPRINGS, Texas — Three men are facing charges of murder after a man died from multiple gunshot wounds in Carrizo Springs on Friday, officials in Dimmit County say.

The Dimmit County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting multiple gunshots heard in the area of North 17th Street and Thompson Street in Carrizo Springs on September 19, at 1:04 a.m.

When deputies arrived at the scene they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. Deputies performed life-saving measures until EMS arrived and took the victim to Dimmit Regional Hospital. 

The DCSO Criminal Investigation Division investigated the incident with the help from the Texas Rangers. 

Three men, identified as KC Abraham, Zachary Garza, and Ramiro Mora, were identified as possible suspects within 12 hours of the call and arrested without incident, according to the sheriff’s office.

All three men are in custody at the Dimmit County Jail for the following charges:

  • KC Abraham 
    Murder ($500,000 Bond)
    Deadly Conduct ($25,000 Bond)
    Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence ($25,000 Bond)
  • Zachary Garza
    Murder ($500,000 Bond)
    Deadly Conduct ($25,000 Bond)
    Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence ($25,000 Bond)
  • Ramiro Mora
    Murder ($500,000 Bond)

Dimmit County Sheriff Chris Castañeda says he has a commitment to ensuring public safety and emphasizes that incidents of senseless violence will be thoroughly investigated and prosecuted.
