Authorities say a group of young men broke into a white truck in a neighborhood on Bedford Stage off of Lockhill Selma Road.
SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police are investigating a car break-in that ended in gunfire on the city’s north side early Friday morning.
Police say three young men broke into a white truck in a neighborhood on Bedford Stage off of Lockhill Selma Road.
The suspects entered the truck and found a firearm, which they took out of the vehicle, authorities say.
Police said the homeowner came out of a house and confronted the group and one of the suspects fired a single round into the air.
It’s unclear whether the suspect fired off his own gun or the homeowner’s gun.
Police said the suspects escaped in a dark-colored sedan and are on the run.
No injuries were reported.
Investigators are trying to get video from neighbors to see what exactly happened.
Police said that when found, the suspects will be charged with burglary of a vehicle, theft of a firearm and discharge on a municipality.
