Here’s what Mitch Johnson, De’Aaron Fox, and Stephon Castle had to say following the Spurs’ loss to the Thunder.

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder 146-132 at home in their first game in San Antonio after the Rodeo Trip.

Mitch Johnson:

“They (OKC) made a lot of shots. We made a lot of shots, and at some point we stopped scoring a little bit. They kind of maintained it, and then I think that’s where you have to put your energy at getting the stops and getting the rebounds and not turning ball over, and not the makes and misses kind of go that other stuff that compound runs.”

“We all put 80 points, both teams, obviously, in the first half, but you can’t expect to always be scoring like that and always shoot like that. We scored 130 points. That’s enough to win every game in a season, but you can’t give up 150 and expect to win.”

“The scoring stuff is cool, but we still want to win. So I mean, that doesn’t mean that much to me, honestly.”

Jalen Williams, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and coach Mark Daigneault:
