After the weather’s spring sneak preview over the weekend, some San Antonio residents are waking up to slightly cooler-than-usual temperatures accompanied by a few rain clouds on top of adjusting their sleep schedules to fit the changing time Monday, March 13, according to the National Weather Service.

While the temperatures aren’t taking home any golden statues for coldest temperatures, the slight cold front is bringing low to mid 50 and low 70s to San Antonio and parts of the Hill Country. The cooler weather will continue to send San Antonio residents into their closets for a light jacket in the mornings into Tuesday and Wednesday.

Tuesday morning will bring partly-cloudy weather with low temperatures of mid to high 40s and will warm up to reach highs in the mid 60s with a chance of rain. Wednesday has more of the same with slightly warmer temperatures in the afternoon. Temperatures will increase slightly on Thursday bringing thunderstorms to parts of South-Central Texas.

Thunderstorms bring another jump into cold weather to the area in time for St. Patrick’s Day as people begin celebrating the day honoring the patron saint of Ireland. However, temperatures won’t let up Saturday, March 18 putting a slight damper in holiday plans with temperatures plummeting into the 30s and 40s with lows in the mid 50s making for a chilly weekend.

So far, there is no telling what the weather might bring the Easter bunny on Sunday, April 9, but he is still on his fastest route and remains uninterrupted by the brisk temperatures happening this weekend.
