Thursday to bring San Antonio’s coldest temps in months | Weather Impact Alert

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — Impact Day: Thursday, October 30 (morning)

Reason: The low temperatures on Thursday morning are expected to dip into the 40s in San Antonio. Some areas of the Hill Country will most likely tumbles into the 30s. 

The breakdown

With the passage of the strong cold front, San Antonians can expect to wake up to chilly low temps in the 40s on Thursday morning. The Hill Country area could see low temperatures drop into the mid 30s. Wind chill values in the 30s are likely. 

This means the greater San Antonio area is primed to experience its coldest temperatures since early April. According to National Weather Service data, San Antonio’s lowest temperature in April was 39 degrees the morning of April 8. September, by comparison, saw the mercury stop at 63 degrees for its coldest recorded temperature all months (Sept. 27). 

NWS officials say residents should dress appropriately, bring pets inside and practice safe space heater safety.
