Here’s a sample of what the Spurs and Timberwolves said after the game.
Mitch Johnson:
“I think that what makes them (Wolves) a tough matchup is they have a knack for turning it on when they get down a little bit or when it gets to be crunch time. And they’re a tough out. And I thought they got the better of us, obviously, in the fourth quarter. They are really physical at the end of games.”
“The ball got stagnant, missed some shots. But I think the most disappointing thing again was the physicality. On that end, too. They (Wolves) picked up the physicality, pushed us off our spots a couple of times.”
“It starts with sticking with just a game plan of the shots that we’re going to give up and the shots that we’re not and I think that, you know, it’s always easy to look at like a last play or last second thing like that, but I think in that second half, there’s a lot that we can take away in terms of us getting away from our standard play.”
