SAN ANTONIO — Luisa is looking for a loving family after being found curled up in a pile of trash.
When officers were responding to a call, they were flagged down to where two other dogs had just been dumped. Unfortunately, one was hit by a car and didn’t survive.
The other was Luisa.
Luisa needs a home
She was found trembling, cold and soaked from the rain in a “make-shift” shelter where someone had leaned a box spring over the debris and left a bowl of food and water.
“Luisa didn’t run. She didn’t bark. She just stayed there—waiting, alone, in the cold,” Animal Care Services (ACS) said.
Luisa was taken to ACS where she is now dry and receiving care.
“Luisa has endured more than any dog should. And despite it all, she remains gentle. Quiet. Patient,” said ACS.
She now awaits a place where she belongs, a place where she’ll be treasured and loved.
