SAN ANTONIO — New ramps might be open as part of the ongoing Loop 1604 North Expansion Project, but weekend closures continue as crews make progress on the billion-dollar highway project in north San Antonio.
Here’s what to make note of for this weekend if you’re driving along the corridor, per the Texas Department of Transportation. Drivers looking to navigate these areas will have to take detours.
Loop 1604 and Interstate 10
The following nightly closures are scheduled for this weekend, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. each day from Friday through Monday:
- Loop 1604 East frontage road at the I-10 interchange
- Right main lane of Loop 1604 East at the I-10 interchange
- Loop 1604 East to Loop 1604 West turnaround at the I-10 interchange
- I-10 East frontage road at the Loop 1604 interchange
- I-10 East cloverleaf to Loop 1604 East
Between Bandera and Interstate 10
The following closures are scheduled for this weekend, from 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Sunday:
- Loop 1604 West to eastbound turnaround at Bandera Road
- Southbound Bandera Road to Loop 1604 East frontage road
- Loop 1604 East frontage road down to one lane from Bandera to Quincey Lee Drive
Between Interstate 10 to Highway 281
The following nightly closures are scheduled from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. each day until Wednesday:
- Loop 1604 East to Loop 1604 West turnaround
- Huebner Road left turn lane to Loop 1604 West
- Loop 1604 West frontage road starting from Huebner Road
