SAN ANTONIO — Emergency crews are responding to a major accident impacting traffic Friday morning in northeast San Antonio, police say.
The San Antonio Police Department issued an alert saying all eastbound lanes of Loop 1604 from Judson Road to IH-35 will be shut down due to the accident. Drivers are urged to find alternate routes.
Initial traffic reports indicate the incident involves a jackknifed 18-wheeler along Loop 1604 East between Nacogdoches Road and Lookout Road, causing traffic to be stopped in the area. As of 7 a.m., drivers can expect a delay of up to 30 minutes.
