Train carrying 60 people crashes into utility trailer in North Texas, no injuries reported

IRVING, Texas — A Trinity Railway Express train collided with a utility trailer while carrying 60 people shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. 

According to the Irving Police Department, the collision occurred at the intersection of Rock Island Road and North Rogers Road. 

Police say no injuries were reported and Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Police Department took over the investigation. 

DART PD says there was minor damage to the train. However, they have canceled the bus bridge and trains are still experiencing some delays, most under 15 minutes.
