Train crashes into unoccupied pickup truck west of downtown San Antonio, police say

Officials say the truck was unoccupied when hit by the train.

SAN ANTONIO — A pickup truck parked on railroad tracks west of downtown San Antonio was hit by a train late Sunday night, according to police.

The crash happened around 9:43 p.m. in the 100 block of Osage near Brady Boulevard.

An officer at the scene said the pickup truck was parked and unoccupied on the tracks when the train struck it head-on.

San Antonio police and firefighters responded to the crash.

No other details were immediately released.
