Turning Point USA announces performers for alternative ‘All American Halftime Show’

The conservative organization co-founded by Charlie Kirk announced the alternative event last October.

WASHINGTON — Turning Point USA has announced the lineup for its “All American Halftime Show,” scheduled to air during Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show performance on Sunday.

The alternative event capitalizes on conservative backlash over the NFL’s choice of Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny for its halftime show performance.

The conservative organization’s lineup will feature Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice and Gabby Barrett. The event website promised that additional musical artists would be announced.

Turning Point’s event will be streamed on its social media channels, including X, YouTube and Rumble, according to the news release. Additionally, other platforms, such as Daily Wire+, OAN News and The National Desk, will air the programming.

It will air at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday, Feb. 8.

“The All-American Halftime Show is an opportunity for all Americans to enjoy a halftime show with no agenda other than to celebrate faith, family, and freedom,” said Turning Point USA spokesman Andrew Kolvet in a statement. “We set out to provide an entertainment option that will be fun, excellent, and exciting for the entire family while millions are gathered together for the big game. These performers will deliver exactly that, and we can’t wait to watch the incredible show they’re about to put on. We know millions around the country will be watching too.”

Turning Point USA was co-founded by Charlie Kirk, and the event was announced about a month after Kirk’s death.

The lineup announcement comes just a day after Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antionio Martinez Ocasio, made history at the Grammys by taking home album of the year. The critically acclaimed “Debi Tirar Mas Fotos” was the first full Spanish-language album to win the Recording Academy’s top prize.

When Bad Bunny was originally announced, several conservatives, including President Donald Trump, criticized the selection.

At the time, Trump said the pick was “absolutely ridiculous” and that he had “never heard of him.” Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson called it “a terrible decision” and said country artist Lee Greenwood would have been a better choice that attracted “a broader audience.” Greenwood has about 500,000 monthly listeners on Spotify compared to Bad Bunny’s 80 million.

Who is performing at the Super Bowl?

The Super Bowl halftime show will take place Feb. 8, 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Bad Bunny is fresh off a historic Puerto Rico residency that drew more than half a million fans and is leading all nominees at the Latin Grammys in November. He has become one of the world’s most-streamed artists with albums such as “Un Verano Sin Ti,” an all-Spanish-language LP.

The halftime show has become one of the most-watched musical events globally, regularly drawing more than 100 million viewers and dominating social media conversation during and after the performance.

Bad Bunny joins an elite roster of recent headliners.

In February 2025, Kendrick Lamar took the stage at Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, joined by SZA and a special guest appearance by Samuel L. Jackson. Usher headlined Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas in February 2024, delivering a career-spanning set that featured surprise guests and highlighted his decades of R&B hits. Rihanna returned to performing after a years-long hiatus to headline Super Bowl LVII in Glendale, Arizona, in February 2023, confirming during the show that she was pregnant with her second child.
