SAN ANTONIO — The Pearsall Police Department is investigating a two-vehicle crash that left two people dead and another critically injured Saturday evening.
According to a press release from the City of Pearsall, Pearsall police officers responded to a major collision at the intersection of N. Oak Street and E. Trinity Street around 5:45p.m. Upon arrival, officers determined the vehicles involved in the crash were a white Ford truck and a grey Scion sedan.
Officials said the driver of the Ford truck remained at the scene and was medically cleared by EMS but the three occupants in the Scion sustained more serious injuries. The driver of the Scion was taken to a San Antonio hospital for treatment and the two other passengers were taken to a regional hospital were they were later pronounced deceased.
Pearsall police and Texas DPS troopers processed the scene. Detectives are awaiting medical records and other information in order to conduct a full reconstruction of the crash.
According to the press release, no charges have been filed.
The crash remains under investigation.
