Officers say a woman’s ex-boyfriend showed up at her home causing trouble and a fight broke out between two men.
SAN ANTONIO — Two men are in the hospital after a fight ends in gunfire on the far southeast side of San Antonio late Sunday night, according to police.
This all started just before midnight at a woman’s house on Wrangler Run near I-37. Investigators say a woman’s 29-year-old ex-boyfriend showed up and started causing trouble.
At some point, another man who police described as a 19-year-old family member stepped in to defend the woman. That’s when officers say gunfire broke out. The ex-boyfriend shot the man in the stomach, and that guy fired back hitting him in the leg and chest.
SAPD says both men suffered from gunshot wounds. They were both taken to BAMC in critical condition.
We don’t know what charges these men could face.
Police tell us it’s under investigation.
