Two men in hospital following crash on northeast-side, police say

One of the drivers suffered two broken legs, according to officials.

SAN ANTONIO — A crash early Tuesday morning sent two people to the hospital and left one driver with serious injuries on the city’s northeast-side, according to San Antonio police.

The collision happened around 2:27 a.m. at the intersection near the 17100 block of O’Connor Road. Investigators say two sedans crashed under circumstances still being reviewed by officers.

A man in a Volkswagen sedan was trapped inside his vehicle following the impact. First responders worked to free him, and officials say he suffered two broken legs. He was transported to BAMC in serious condition.

The second driver was also taken to BAMC for evaluation.

Police say the driver of the Volkswagen will undergo assessment for a possible intoxication.
