Authorities have arrested two men accused of mail theft and credit card abuse in Garden Ridge.
SAN ANTONIO — Two men are in jail, accused of stealing mail and committing credit card abuse in Garden Ridge—about 30 minutes northeast of San Antonio, according to authorities.
On Wednesday, Garden Ridge police posted on Facebook about the arrest of Robert Henry Blalock Jr., and Robert Henry Blalock III.
According to police, there have been several mail thefts at community cluster boxes. After the first few thefts, some residents decided to install a camera on a mailbox, which resulted in video of a mail theft.
The video was given to authorities, which helped investigators identify the car the suspected thieves were driving.
While conducting a follow up investigation, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Department arrested Blalock Jr., and Blalock III while they were reportedly stealing mail.
Garden Ridge police, BCSO and the Postal Inspectors office collaborated, requesting a search warrant for the men’s residence. The warrant was served Wednesday on Blazing Star Trail. A picture of the evidence found within the residence was also posted by Garden Ridge PD.
Authorities say the men could face additional charges.
