SAN ANTONIO — Two men in their 20s were wounded in a double shooting early Thursday near a downtown San Antonio bar, police said.
Police were called to the 800 block of Austin Street around 2:26 a.m. after reports of a shooting near the bar Maeve.
According to police, a fight between several women inside the bar spilled outside, where multiple men became involved and gunfire went off.
One man was shot twice in the chest and taken to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition, police said.
A second man, who was reportedly driving away from the scene, was shot or possibly grazed in the neck while leaving the same bar, police said. Investigators said he drove to Kirby, where he flagged down a Kirby police officer at a gas station and asked for help. He was taken to a hospital and was also listed in stable condition.
No arrests were immediately reported. San Antonio police detectives are investigating.
San Antonio Fire Department and EMS personnel responded to the scene.
