Two people critically hurt in shooting in northwest San Antonio, suspect on the run

Police say two people were shot outside a home early Sunday morning after an altercation on the city’s northwest side.

SAN ANTONIO — Two people are in critical condition after an early morning shooting on San Antonio’s northwest side.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, the shooting happened around 12:36 a.m. Sunday near the 5900 block of White Cloud, not far from Callaghan Road.

Police say two individuals approached a home for an unknown reason. At some point, investigators say a male inside the home got into an altercation with the pair outside in the yard.

During that confrontation, police say the man pulled out a gun and shot both individuals.

Both victims were taken to the hospital in critical condition, according to officials.

After the shooting, the suspected gunman fled the scene, and officers began searching the area.

Multiple agencies responded overnight, including SAPD, SAFD, EMS and Crime Scene Investigators, who worked to process evidence at the scene.

Police have not said what led up to the confrontation or if the suspect and victims knew each other. The investigation remains ongoing.
