Police responded to a welfare call and found two people dead in an apartment on Randolph Boulevard.
SAN ANTONIO — Two people were found dead at an apartment on the northeast side Friday morning, according to SAPD chief William McManus.
A welfare call came in around 11 a.m. Friday to the apartment in the 5000 block of Randolph Boulevard on the northeast part of town.
A tweet/X post from Chief William McManus says the welfare call turned into a barricaded subject scene. Once inside, officers found a woman had been killed, and a suspect was also dead from a self-inflicted wound.
Officers also found children had been locked in a bathroom, but were unharmed. There is no word yet on how many children there were or their ages.
This is a developing story and further details will be added as they are received.
