SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Police say a shoplifting suspect may be facing several charges after a foot chase and scuffle at The Rim at La Cantera Thursday morning.
The emergency tones sounded around 9:30 a.m. when officers said they were pursuing a man accused of stealing something from the Target store.
An SAPD sergeant said officers chased the man up La Cantera Parkway until they caught up with him near the Hobby Lobby.
Officers said when they attempted to detain the man he resisted, causing minor injuries to two officers.
A taser was used to gain control of the suspect, so EMS was called as a precaution.
Police say after they gather more information the man may be charged with shoplifting and the assault on the two officers.
