Two ‘sweet dumplings’ born on Thanksgiving at Texas Children’s

Two Houston families joyfully welcomed Thanksgiving babies at Texas Children’s Pavilion for Women, adding extra warmth and gratitude to their holiday celebrations.

HOUSTON — Two Houston families had an extra reason to give thanks this year. They each welcomed a Thanksgiving baby at Texas Children’s Pavilion for Women.

Kakki and Matthew welcomed their daughter Adelaide bright and early at 1:49 a.m. She weighed 6 pounds, 11.9 ounces and measured 19.5 inches long.

A few hours later, at 8:18 a.m., Joshua and Sharon greeted their son Elias, who arrived weighing 7 pounds, 3 ounces and measuring 20.5 inches.

Hospital staff joked that these families must be feeling “stuffed with love” as they celebrate Thanksgiving with their newest “sweet dumplings.”
