U.S. Army Lieutenant found dead in Honduras, according to military

1st Lt. Marciano Parisano, 25, of Cibolo, Texas, was found dead in Comayagua, Honduras on May 3, 2025.

CIBOLO, Texas — A servicemember from Cibolo has been reported dead in Honduras, according to the Joint Task Force-Bravo.

First Lieutenant Marciano Parisano, 25, was a Blackhawk helicopter pilot stationed at the Soto Cano Air Base northwest of the Honduran capital.

The U.S. Military’s Joint Task Force-Bravo says Lt. Parisano was found dead Saturday off base in Comayagua, Honduras.

Local outlets in Honduras are reporting that his body was found on the banks of the Chiquito River near the city.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death is ongoing.

Parisano graduated from Steele High School in SCUCISD in the top percentage of his class.

He served as a leader in different student organizations and graduated from the United States Military Academy West Point in May 2023.

“It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts; we acknowledge the passing of Lieutenant Marciano Parisano. He served our unit and mission here at Soto Cano Air Base with dignity, pride and courage,” shared U.S. Army Col. Daniel Alder, Joint Task Force-Bravo commander. “As a UH-60 Blackhawk pilot with the 228 Aviation Regiment, his contribution to our team is immeasurable. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him and serve with him. The command team extends our deepest condolences to 1st Lt. Marciano Parisano’s family, friends and loved ones. We stand with you in this time of grief. One soldier lost is one too many.”

There’s no word yet on when Parisano’s body will be back here for funeral services.
