SAN ANTONIO — An Uber driver was shot in the face Friday morning by a man in a white truck, according to police.
Police were called to the intersection of Console and IH-10 West for a shooting in progress around 6:15 a.m. Friday.
Once there, they found a man in a Kia Soul who they say was shot in the face while dropping off a passenger.
Police say the incident happened around 6 a.m. when the Uber driver was on Wurzbach Road. A white truck pulled behind him asking him to pull over. Confused, the Uber driver did not comply, according to police. That’s when the suspect pulled up beside the Kia and allegedly shot him in the face. The suspect then drove off.
The Uber driver’s condition is unknown at this time.
The suspect is still on the run as of Friday morning.
